About Dr. Gloth

Dr. Gloth attended Rutgers University where he graduated Summa cum Laude and received the Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence (awarded to students with a 4.0 grade point average). He graduated from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School where he was inducted into the national medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha. He completed his residency in ophthalmology and fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery and uveitis at Albany Medical College. During his time in Albany, he was appointed Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology. 

Dr. Gloth became Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology in 2011. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a member of the American Society of Retina Specialists. Born and raised in Freehold, Dr. Gloth joined InVision in Summer 2019. He has been in private practice in New Jersey since 2011 and specializes in the treatment of age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vascular occlusions, and uveitis. His areas of surgical expertise include retinal detachment repair, diabetic hemorrhage evacuation, macular hole repair, macular pucker peeling, as well as management of complications of cataract extraction such as removal of retained lens fragments and intraocular lens repositioning. 

Dr. Gloth has published in peer-reviewed journals and presented numerous times at national meetings. An avid sports fan, he enjoys running, coaching and playing baseball, and spending time with his 3 children.
