Dr. Rachel Roman is a board-certified bilingual optometrist at InVision Eyecare in Lakewood and Eatontown, New Jersey. Her enthusiasm for practicing eye care shines brightly and draws in many patients who seek a smile with their treatment. She is gentle and welcoming, performing everything from routine eye exams to rigorous treatment of the many diseases of the eye.
Dr. Roman began her education at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in biology. She then moved to Massachusetts to pursue her doctorate in optometry at the esteemed Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, graduating at the top of her class. Doctorate in hand, she continued training with a clinical residency at the veteran’s hospital in Manchester, New Hampshire.
Dr. Roman is an active member of multiple professional organizations, including the American Optometric Association, the New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians, and the American Academy of Optometry. She is board-certified in therapeutics, treatment, and management of ocular diseases.
Dr. Rachel Roman is also the founder of the Children’s Myopia Center (CMC) at InVision Eyecare Specialists. The impetus to forming CMC is her love for children and a passion to fulfill the need to slow a rapidly growing global epidemic in myopia - also known as nearsightedness.
Dr. Roman enjoys professional conferences and research into a number of ophthalmic topics. She also enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, and performing yoga to stay fit.
