Dr. Hedaya's Training
Dr. Hedaya has trained at some of the finest institutions in our country including Mt. Zion/UCSF, North Shore/Cornell Medical Center, and the New York University Medical Center. In addition to the standard residency programs, he has pre and post residency fellowship training.
This resulted in him finishing in the top 10% of entire country in his board exams. He continually attends important seminars and visits other doctors around the world. Dr. Hedaya is certified on many of the top laser systems used in Laser Vision Correction including, Summit Apex, Visx S2 Smooth scan and the Autonomous LadarVision units.
Once we have set a date for your LASIK procedure, we will arrange a second appointment. At that time your eyes will be dilated which means you will be very blurry when you leave our office and may wish to have someone drive you home. We do this to better assess the amount of Laser Vision Correction you will need and to check your retina. During training we will take you step-by-step through a simulation of the surgical procedure. We have found, through discussions with our patients, that this is an important step in preparing the patient and reducing the anxiety associated with a surgical procedure. |
